Soil electrical conductivity (EC) is the level of salts in soil (salinity). These parameters are vital indicators of soil fertility and health and ultimately affect the plants. When there is a high soil salinity, the salt will make it difficult for the plants to consume water even though there is a high moisture level in the soil. This situation will ultimately "burn" the plants. Plants grow best in their preferred environment, within the optimal ranges of soil moisture, temperature, and EC level. Growers need to have data on these parameters and understand what actions need to be taken to ensure plant health and higher yield.
The RS485 Multi-Depth Soil Moisture, Temperature, and EC Sensor has been designed in accordance with industry standards, offering high precision, high sensitivity, and durability. It provides highly accurate and reliable three-dimensional monitoring of soil conductivity, humidity, and temperature by means of sensor nodes installed at different depths.
The sensor can be permanently inserted into the measured soil, and calibrated once for long-term stable real-time detection. The high-quality plastic housing provides the sensor with IP68 protection and excellent corrosion resistance. It is suitable for water-saving agricultural irrigation, meteorological monitoring, environmental monitoring, greenhouse, flowers and vegetables, grass pasture, soil quick test, plant culture, scientific experiments, and other fields.
We offer the SenseCAP Sensor Hub 4G Data Logger suitable for RS485 sensors. You can transmit the sensor data to to the SenseCAP server or the client's private server.
